Pwned, Baby!

It's times like these that I wish the NFL TV Distribution map didn't constantly flirt with the area I go to school in like a drunk sorority girl; there's something about watching the graph lines and play summaries on gamecast that just doesn't compare to seeing a Redskins game the way it was meant to be seen: in my den, on my coach, with the fellow Sandy bloggers and Papa Sandy, Baby.

But what domination, what defense, what punting?

"Derrick Frost is one of the league's underrated punters who hits these impossibly high, booming kicks that a return man has no choice but to fair catch."

Uh, okay Mike. The Redskins have a really good player at the least important position in football. Great. But hey, he's just excited after such a good win, as is the Boz. I'm not even going to touch this headline.

But whaddayaknow? 3-1! And if Favre plays like the drunken intramural quarterback he looked like in the second half of Chicago game tonight, that could very well be 4-1.

I can't wait until all the "Bandwagon" questions start up. Go Skins.

"on my coach"?

What exactly are you doing during Skins games?
I guess it makes the gamecast more exciting...

Indeed, who is this coach person and why is Ollie on him?

Regardless, 3-1, baby! Naysayers (I'm looking at you Thread) beware! I followed the game same as Ollie, only able to see infrequent updates. Bt what I saw I couldn't believe. Antwan = 100 yards in the first half, Campbell lighting it up, and points -- actual points -- being scored.
It's good stuff. No, great stuff ... but the Detroit D is about as tough as that pansy Lion who hung out with Dorothy in Oz. ("I've got to get my courage, where's my courage?" SHUT IT!)

Yet to those who predicted 6-10, whatsayyou?

6-10 is now 3-8 over the last eleven games...
This is the "no-depth-cause-we-overspent-on-losers-and-don't-know-what-we're-doing-in-the-draft-past-the-1st-round" blues...
Good guys on the team, poor organization. Other teams actually have reserve linemen who can play. "We don't run right with the personnel we've got." Gee, so we spot the other team ONE HALF OF THE FIELD.

Dubious. I am dubious that any team could have predicted the type of injuries the Redskins line has suffered. While depth is a problem now (somebody call Joe Jacoby!), you have to admit the subs so far have played quite well. Me thinks the glass is half full: Campbell seems to be a good aquoisition; we all bemoaned signing Santana, but who thinks twice about that now; keeping Ladell Betts was a plus; Landry is huge; and even Andre Carter is showing his skills. Besides the obvious poor pick-ups (B. Lloyd!), can you really fault the management so much?
